We’re kicking off this week’s new music round-up in the best way possible, with a dreamy cover of one of the best pop songs of all time, ‘Teenage Dream.’ Choosing to cover such a staple song in the pop culture world is a bold move, but with a voice like Jordana’s, it obviously paid off! We are eagerly awaiting more original music from Jordana after using this cover to prove how she can work her way around a proven hit.

Alec Benjamin – ‘Pick Me’
Any day where we get to report on new Alec Benjamin music is a good day! We’ve been fans of Alec since back in the ‘End of the Summer’ days; we’ve got history! Seeing Alec’s artistic growth over the last several years has been the greatest joy, and it has all come full circle with ‘Pick Me,’ which, to us, is already a stand-out in Alec’s discography.

Train & NIIKO x SWAE – ‘Serious’
Train being part of a song we want to hear at the club wasn’t on our 2024 bingo card, but we are more than ready to make ‘Serious’ a part of our regular rotation as we move into spring and summer. The combination of Train, a band we’ve loved since we were screaming ‘Drops of Jupiter’ at the top of our lungs, and NIIKO X SWAE, a duo we want to see blow up on the scene, is the perfect mashup.

Jason Derulo & Michael Bublé – ‘Spicy Margarita’
Is this the most unlikely collaboration we could think of? Yes! Are we going to be listening on a constant loop? Yes! Jason and Michael’s vocals melt so easily together to form the perfect mix, and indeed they do have us wanting to take down some Spicy Margaritas!

Carlie Hanson – ‘Covering Faces’
You all know how we feel about Carlie Hanson at this point; we are stans through and through.
With each track that Carlie Hanson releases, we feel like we are watching her come more and more into her own as an artist, putting more of herself into each lyric. It’s a beautiful thing to witness and makes forming that bond to the music seamless. ‘Covering Faces’ acts as the perfect example of those things coming together.

FLETCHER – ‘Lead Me On’
FLETCHER is a pop icon at this point, so it’s not a surprise to us that ‘Lead Me On’ is yet another smash. Between this track and ‘Eras of Us,’ the next FLETCHER era is already shaping up to be one that is going to be a permanent fixture in our listening patterns. We need it ASAP!

James Arthur – Bitter Sweet Love
Anything James Arthur releases is bound to be stunning and full of the most complex of emotions, but truly, Bitter Sweet Love blew us out of the water. Each track was so packed with honesty and vocal emotion, and we fell deeper in love with the project with each song. ‘Comeback Kid’ is our stand-out; it’s been on a loop.

Cloe Wilder – ‘Fake ID’
Teenage emotions will always be something we can tap back into, no matter how old we get, so of course, we are all over ‘Fake ID.’ If you’re a fan of artists like Olivia Rodrigo and Gracie Abrams, we think you will find a new favorite artist in Cloe Wilder.

We have found our new favorite band in The Ivy, it’s true! After listening to ‘Gums Lost Flavor’ on a loop for a solid hour, we had to do a discography deep-dive, and thank God we did! Because truly, we’ve found a gem in this band, y’all need to jump aboard immediately!
