“Voyage,” from the Latin word “viaticum” meaning provisions for a journey, it’s a term that today encompasses a wide spectrum of interpretations. However, for the K-Pop Bees, it is now the best EP we’ve heard so far, courtesy of TEMPEST!

Within the wide musical spectrum, there is one band that has zero skips in their discography: TEMPEST. And now, with their fifth EP, they keep the record intact. With Voyage, Hanbin, Hyeongseop, Hyuk, Lew, Hwarang, Eunchan, and Taerae show everyone that they are unstoppable and are only on the rise.
Well, we’ve come to the part where we tell you more about the EP. This time TEMPEST gave us four songs that we can’t stop playing, and they show us a journey of new rhythms and emotions. Let’s check them out.
‘LIGHTHOUSE’
The lighthouse has led us to one of the best groups of the 4th generation of K-pop. In this song, they tell us how the light will guide that special person to them, even if it’s not what they were looking for in the beginning. TEMPEST uses metaphor, poetry, and one of the best beats we’ve ever danced to! Additionally, we have this mesmerizing music video.
‘There’
This is the contrast between a light that guides you towards a special person and the dark whirlpool of emotions and situations that distances you from that person. ‘There’ tells us how love that seemed eternal seems to dissipate, but at the same time, it shows that the narrator will always be there for the other. You better bring tissues.
‘B.O.K.’
In a mix of soft vocals, electrifying guitars, and a simply spring-like beat, this song is so TEMPEST that this is the only way to decipher it. It shows us how we can be in connection with ourselves, and enjoy the authenticity of the small moments. Truly, these are the kind of singles that are just a hit away from being a mega hit!
‘Slow Motion’
And with this closing feeling more like the icing on the cake, TEMPEST shows us that there is nothing these guys don’t do well. Since the beginning of this Voyage, we have simply been on a cloud that now shows us a new rhythm, a new facet, and of course a new success for this hurricane of talents!
We Just Can’t Get Enough!
TEMPEST is one of our favorite bands, and we love to buzz around their new songs! Now that we have seen their fifth mini album, we know that with every comeback, TEMPEST does even better.
