Aside from being a queen of pop and our hearts, Ariana Grande is also the queen of star-studded collabs. She’s worked with some of the biggest names in music to give us consistently catchy new songs, and we’re forever grateful to her and her collaborators! To pay tribute to Ari and her amazing discography, let’s take a look at some of her best collabs to date.
‘Just Look Up’ With Kid Cudi
This song hasn’t been in our lives for long, but we’re so excited that it is now! Ariana and Kid Cudi perform the soulful love song ‘Just Look Up’ in Don’t Look Up, playing a superstar couple made up of Riley Bina and DJ Chello. It was already nominated for Best Original Song at the Hollywood Music In Media Awards, and we know it’s gonna go down in history as one of Ari and Cudi’s most memorable songs.
‘Rain On Me’ With Lady Gaga
Name a more iconic pop duo, we’ll wait! ‘Rain On Me’ was so momentous that Ariana and Lady Gaga even won a GRAMMY Award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance at the 2021 ceremony. We love the track’s feel-good vibes and the incredible vocals they both served! It was definitely a standout from Gaga’s Chromatica album.
‘34+35’ With Doja Cat And Megan Thee Stallion
This star-studded version of ‘34+35’ was more than a remix, it was a cultural moment! Three of our favorite unapologetically badass women in music on one track? Yes, please. We’re still not over the confidence or cheeky one-liners they brought to the table. Though we must admit we’re still a little bitter we weren’t invited to the luxurious slumber party in the music video.
‘Love Me Harder’ With The Weeknd
Ariana and The Weeknd have teamed up on so many standout songs over the years (see her ‘off the table’ and his ‘Save Your Tears’ remix), but we had to go with the track that started it all. ‘Love Me Harder’ was not only one of Ariana’s biggest and most mature hits so far, but also helped The Weeknd become a household name before releasing smashes like ‘The Hills’ and ‘Can’t Feel My Face!’ It was an unforgettable turning point in both artists’ discography.
‘The Way’ With Mac Miller
We love the way that this iconic collab struck our hearts! It was one of Ariana’s earliest hits and led to her sweet romance with late rapper Mac Miller. It stands strong as a tribute to their powerful connection and how they took every opportunity to boost each other up, whether it was romantically, platonically, or professionally.
‘MONOPOLY’ With Victoria Monét
If you’re in need of a motivation boost, ‘MONOPOLY’ is just the girl-power anthem you need! Ariana and Victoria take turns celebrating their success and flaunting their confidence. Their energy is infectious, so this would be a perfect addition to your positivity playlists.
