5 Of Our Favorite Stray Kids’ I.N’s Covers

Stray Kids‘ I.N has a truly unique voice that conveys feelings in a uniquely magical way. He makes every single song he touches extra special with his voice. I.N’s vocals are one of our favorite elements in Stray Kids‘ music, and that’s no secret. Even so, there’s also something incredibly special about I.N’s covers – how he manages to make the songs his and how we get to hear new sides of his voice we won’t necessarily find in Stray Kids‘ discography. Here are some of our favorites!

‘If It Is You’ (Originally By Jung Seung Hwan)

Yes, this was I.N’s first solo cover as a SKZ-Record, and we’re still here almost four years later. Something about I.N‘s take of ‘If It Is You’ will never stop being special to us. And no matter how many times we listen to it, our heart will always break with how he conveys such heavy emotions through every single note. His take on this beautiful song never fails to leave us speechless. It’s literally perfect.

‘That’s Okay’ (Originally By D.O.)

You could say we’re cheating a little bit by including a cover I.N did with Seungmin… But how could we not talk about Vocalracha‘s version of ‘That’s Okay?’

As a special performance for this year’s year-end shows, Vocalracha took on D.O.’s iconic first solo song and rearranged it to give the acoustic track a more pop-rock ballad feel. Both Seungmin and I.N‘s vocals sound incredible in this cover. We were blown away by every second of it. There is truly something special about this duo every time they sing together. This will be a performance that we’ll remember for years!

‘Creep’ (Originally By Radiohead)

Now, unfortunately, we do not have an official video for this… Yet? Maybe one day? Take this as us manifesting it.

Even if there’s no official video for it, hear us out so you can go look for it and experience (again?) the magic of I.N singing this song. During the Maniac Tour, Stray Kids would take on the stage as units while the other unit changed outfits. In addition to performing their unit songs from ODDINARY, they took the time to sing their solo songs or cover songs. It was a fun thing that made every night special. I.N covered many songs during the tour, but by far the most impactful to us, the one we cannot stop thinking about, is his take on ‘Creep’ by Radiohead. It was such an impressive and surprising choice, and he got to reveal a very different side of his voice. All we need now is a studio version of it…

‘Memory of your scent’ (Originally By HuhGak)

Are you looking for a cover that will tug at your heartstrings and showcase I.N‘s skills and technique at their peak? His cover of ‘Memory of your scent’ is definitely the one you need to listen to. He was simply insane for this one! His vocals sound heavenly, and he gets to show his falsetto, his chest voice, and everything in between. He performs the song perfectly. As of the writing of this article, it is his cover with the most views on YouTube and… Yeah… Makes sense.

‘Good Night Good Dream’ (Originally By Nerd Connection)

I.N was the third Stray Kids member to go to Lee Mujin’s Service. While we do recommend the entire video because every cover has a special place in our hearts, our favorite has to be his duet with Lee Mujin. Their voices blend so beautifully, and their unique and different tones add something to the song that brings us to tears. Something about I.N‘s voice is that it really fits the indie-rock style, and ‘Good Night Good Dream’ was exactly that. Words cannot explain just how good this cover is. Real music with real vocalists.

And if you’re looking for more I.N singing indie: a couple of months after this performance, I.N and Hyunjin released ‘untitled.’ It proved once again just how perfect his voice fits the genre.
