Jagwar Twin is no stranger to us at The Honey POP or in our hearts. So naturally, when we heard about their new video series, The Mirror, we lost our minds immediately. Not to mention the first episode features a very special guest, the one and only Calum Hood! The Mirror series follows Roy (Jagwar Twin) along their early morning walks with close friends discussing life, music, art, and the beauty that comes from it all.
This series is exactly what we’d expect from Jagwar Twin. Their creative journey has been intertwined with their creative friends from the start. One of the many things we love about Jagwar is the way we can see ourselves in them because of their constant efforts to be genuine. They also put a very big emphasis on the fact that we are all reflections of one another. By making meaningful and deep connections, we are giving ourselves the ability to reflect on things we may never have considered before.
As we mentioned earlier, Jagwar Twin is an alter-ego of Roy English, an already acclaimed and praised producer, songwriter, storyteller, and singer. Through this alter-ego, Roy has captivated and inspired all of us with their honest and empathetic songwriting. Their album 33, which dropped earlier this year, is the perfect example of that and the bangers Roy produces.
The Mirror Sessions is a series that prompts personal introspection, reflection, and acceptance. Getting to see two individuals of insane talent transparently discuss and reflect has us going in on our own journal entries. Which part of The Mirror Sessions really made you stop and go “…wow.”? Ours was Roy saying “I don’t know if I think you can feel seen until you truly see yourself.” Let us know which moment(s) made your jaw drop to the ground in the comments below!
