12 Musical Talents We Discovered Through Ye Olde TikTok

TikTok came into our lives like a wrecking ball and has been our daily source of comedy, serotonin, life hacks, dog videos, cosplay aficionados, book recs, and much, much more ever since! We don’t know how we would have made it through the past few years without it or all of the incredible music and artists we discovered, and we can say beyond a shadow of a doubt that TikTok, overall, has made our lives more enjoyable!

It has never been easier to discover new artists and music than it is right now! So many of our current favorite artists popped into our lives while we were doom-scrolling our FYP, and we think it’s high time we share them with the world (and you, of course). You may have heard of some of these or discovered them yourself on the video-sharing platform, but if not, prepare to have your minds blown and your playlists blasted to the next level of awesome with these killer tunes!

Sub-Radio

We first discovered Sub-Radio when they posted a parody of the iconic Fountains Of Wayne hit ‘Stacy’s Mom.’ Their version titled ‘Stacy’s Dad’ has become equally iconic in our book, and it hooked us onto the band immediately! To the surprise of literally no one, their original music is just as scrumptious, and we have enjoyed adding them to our daily playlists! We can’t wait to see what else they serve us in the future!

Knox

To say we became obsessed with Knox upon first hearing ‘Sneakers’ on our FYP is the understatement of the century. Every song we’ve streamed by him since has melted into our veins and become permanently tattooed into our brains. We cannot go a single day without streaming his music, and we have to say that we are 100% perfectly okay with that. We expect him to blow up the music industry soon, and you’re going to want to stick around for it!

We Three

We Three not only captivated us with their music upon first listen, but their stage presence is breathtakingly phenomenal. Something about this band feels nostalgic while feeling new and refreshing all at the same time. We can’t get enough of them and cannot wait to see what goodies they deliver us next. If our predictions are correct: they are on the verge of a takeover!

Crimson Apple

We’ve written about this girl group more than once since we first discovered them on TikTok back in 2020 when their cover of Salem Ilise’s ‘Mad At Disney’ popped up on our FYP. We were hooked after hearing that first note, and we have spent the last two years deep diving into their discography and streaming our hearts out. We adore everything they do and can’t wait to continue on this stan train for all their future endeavors.

Taylor Acorn

Taylor teased a snippet of ‘Psycho’ on TikTok before its release, and we happened upon it as we scrolled our FYP. We knew right away it was going to be a banger, and our streaming history of the track would prove that to be true! It’s always stuck in our heads, and we have it on repeat constantly. So much so that we can assure you, it’s going to cause a ripple effect with her music, and she’s going to POP OFF! snaps

Marisa Maino

When we first heard Marisa singing on our FYP, we were instantly intrigued that she sounded like a young Hayley Williams (yes, from Paramore, obvs.) The more we began to dig into her original music, the more hooked on her we became. We relate to so many of her songs and lyrics that it’s hard NOT to fall in love with her, so our stanning intensified, and here we are! We can’t wait to see what she releases next, and we hope you stick around to enjoy it with us!

Alexandra Kay

We know that country isn’t for everyone, but when we tell you that Alexandra Kay can make anyone fall in love with her – we mean it! We were first introduced to her during one of her coffee karaoke sessions on TikTok, where she would sing a song while making iced coffee (sounds like a dream, tbh), and that caused us to lose ourselves in her music, and we came out the other side full stans! So when she started teasing her song ‘Skip This Part’ before its release, we counted down the days until this masterpiece would be ours, and we’ve streamed it – and her latest single ‘Backroad Therapy’ – religiously ever since! Even if you’re not into country music, we can guarantee that her vocals and songwriting ability are enough to get you hooked!

Max Drazen

What can we say about Max Drazen except how incredible his voice and music are! The first time we ever heard his music, we were mindlessly scrolling (as one does), and he was teasing a snippet of his song ‘Let Me Down Slow’ and talking about love at first sight (er, uh… well, listen). We had an instant connection to the song, and ever since, we can’t help but be hypnotized by Max and every one of his releases. We know great things are on the horizon for him, and we’ll be cheering him on every step of the way.

Maddie Zahm

Maddie made us SOB! We know that reading that you’re probably thinking, “uh, wtf you guys?!” But we mean that in the best possible way. Her song ‘You Might Not Like Her’ spoke to our souls to the point of us sobbing on the bedroom floor at the raw, emotional perfection. Ever since then, we have developed such a deep connection to her through her music that we’re not sure we can live without it at this point! We can’t wait to see what’s next for her!

NEEVE

With vocals as smooth as butter and rhythms and beats so hypnotizing, we were drawn to this group immediately! Their sound is similar to many of our favorite artists, but they bring a unique touch to their songs (like that saxophone in ‘Piece Of Art’) and a fresh new flair to Indie-Pop! We can’t wait to see what else this group brings to the music industry and our playlists!

Devon Cole

Devon’s song blew up on TikTok – perhaps you’ve heard of it? A dainty little number called ‘W.I.T.C.H,’ and like every other person on the planet, we became consumed by its magic! It’s spell-bindingly catchy and a real kicker of an empowerment anthem – if we do say so ourselves! Devon really showcases her talent with this track, and has sealed her spot in history as a legend. We love to see it, and we also love to see all the other original tracks Devon has under her belt because, honestly, they are just as phenomenal as ‘W.I.T.C.H.’ is!

JESSIA

JESSIA popped up on our FYP singing a snippet of her song, ‘Nobody Hates You,’ and her voice instantly captivated us! It was a pleasant surprise after doom-scrolling for hours, searching for fresh content to satisfy our insatiable music cravings. We have since become enthralled by her and can say (without a doubt) that she has claimed a permanent spot on our playlists. She’s going to take the world by storm -watch and see!
