TXT Are Giving Us ‘Deja Vu’ With The References In minisode 3: TOMORROW’s Tracklist

We can’t believe it’s already less than a week until TXT drops minisode 3: TOMORROW! Concept photos that are going viral every day and a paralyzing fear of midnight KST? We’re so back!

Today, TXT released TOMORROW’s tracklist (wrap your heads around that sentence), and we’re so, so excited for this album. Let us show you why!

Morse Code

Morse code might seem like a strange thing to be excited about, but TXT have never done song titles normally! After opening with ‘I’ll See You There Tomorrow,’ the second track on TOMORROW is ‘- — — — ·-· ·-· — ·–,’ which, spoiler alert, is Morse code for ‘Tomorrow.’ We don’t know about you guys, but we’re sensing a bit of a theme here…

Moreover, ‘- — — — ·-· ·-· — ·–’ is only seven seconds long, leading us to think the song might literally be the code itself. If so, it’ll mean that Morse code leads directly into the title track, just like the intro of ‘CROWN,’ their debut. Kinda gives you déjà vu, right?…

‘Deja Vu’

Rocker TXT is back! The group is beloved for hits like ‘0x1=LOVESONG’ and ‘LO$ER=LOVER,’ and it looks like ‘Deja Vu’ might be taking us back to that era! ‘Deja Vu’ is said to intertwine trap, rage, and emo rock altogether, AKA our genre-spanning, ground-breaking tubatu are at it again! As for the story, we’re sure it’ll be as complicated as the rest of TXT’s lore, but here are the details we have so far: it incorporates destiny, reunions of “you” and “I,” and kept promises. Let us guess: the moment that “you” and “I” are meant to reunite is at “5:53?”

With just days to go until the comeback, there are some extraordinarily lucky MOA who have already heard ‘Deja Vu’ and a couple of b-sides live at a show pre-recording. Naturally, those fans are sworn to secrecy, and we don’t want to report too many rumors as they’re not verified. However, there are some comments that are popping up from several fans who were in attendance, including that ‘Deja Vu’ kinda sounds like ‘0x1=LOVESONG’ and ‘Farewell Neverland’ combined. Can you hear our hearts racing already?

In short, it sounds like ‘Deja Vu’ is already going on our list of iconic TXT tracks. But with Slow Rabbit, Supreme Boi, and Bang Si-Hyuk on the credits, are any of us surprised?

New Unit Songs

Kind of unusually for a K-Pop group five years into their careers, TXT don’t have many unit songs. In fact, only two: ‘Lonely Boy (The tattoo on my ring finger)’ and ‘Thursday’s Child Has Far To Go.’ But with TOMORROW, we’re getting two more: ‘Quarter Life’ and ‘The Killa (I Belong to You).’ ‘Quarter Life’ is said to be an ode to the anxiety-inducing period of your twenties and the juxtapositions of a quarter-life crisis. Sounds like a big mood already.

We’ve been searching high and low for hints as to who is in each subunit, but Taehyun having writing credits on both tracks is really throwing us off. Pen game too strong, we guess!

Which brings us nicely to the members’ participation…

Member Credits

We’ve said it before, and we will say it again: TXT are some of the best songwriters in K-Pop. And it looks like they’ll prove it again with minisode 3: TOMORROW! The members have credits on four out of seven tracks on the album! Considering that of the songs they don’t, one is a remix and one is literally Morse code; that’s not bad, eh?

Yeonjun, Taehyun, and Huening Kai wrote album opener, ‘I’ll See You There Tomorrow.’ Like we said before, Taehyun wrote on both unit songs, with Yeonjun joining him for ‘The Killa (I Belong to You)’ and Soobin for ‘Quarter Life.’ However, ‘Miracle’ is arguably the one we’re most excited for. Yeonjun, Soobin, Taehyun and Huening Kai co-composed this one, which is about TXT’s journey so far, adding to the nostalgic feel of this entire era!
