THIS MONTH’S NEWS
First of all, how excited are you to finally get more music from the pinks of Blackpink? Even if it’s solo music the girls are about to treat us left and right with Rosé, Lisa, and Jennie having new music lined up. But before we enjoy those new songs can we talk about how hard our girl Lisa served at the VMAs?? You haven’t seen the performance yet? What are you doing get on with it right here.
Okay, but we can’t be the only ones who let out a little yelp when we saw one of our favorite global groups XG is finally coming back! The girls are set to release their second mini-album AWE on November 8th. We will definitely get our hands on the new album. Do you want to join us? Pre-order the album here.
Now everyone buckle up because we can’t be the only ones who love a good remix, we have not one, not two but three exciting remixes to share with you. First up are EVNNE who celebrated their first debut anniversary with the release of a remix of ‘TROUBLE (arcon Remix)’ what a banger. Next is our fave SM girl group aespa who dropped a banger of a remix for ‘Supernova‘ the ‘SUPERNOVA (GRIMES REMIX).’ The mix is so good it has its own music video. And last but not least, our queen Chungha released remixes of her bop ‘Algorithm‘ which has been on heavy rotation in our office.
And that wraps it up from us! Let’s get into the juicy stuff now!
YOUNHA
September started quite strong with YOUNHA’s latest album, GROWTH THEORY. If you’re more into songs with rock elements, you are about to love this comeback. We fell in love at first listen, and we mean the entirety of it. As a title track, ‘Sunfish’ wonderfully presents the vibes and expectations for GROWTH THEORY, and it just keeps getting better with every track you listen to. YOUNHA’s voice is beautiful and powerful and delivers emotions in a spectacular way. Does anyone else feel like they’re in a movie, and GROWTH THEORY is the soundtrack? Because that’s exactly where our minds go when we press play. There is not one song you should be skipping from start to finish.

That part immediately became one of our favorite things, and the way it matches the song’s vibe so well makes it all the more perfect. From now on, our party playlists will only be complete with the groovy ‘beat drum’ on them. But if you’re like us and only the title track is not enough for you, we have some of our B-side recommendations from FLOW ready. We highly suggest you take a listen to ‘Hola!’ and ‘Focus’ right now.
