Icons Update: 3 Historic Artists Who Are Bringing Fresh Tunes

Do you ever stop and think about all the artists you loved growing up, that you might have lost touch with? Us too. Good thing we’re here to put you back onto these icons and give you all the details about their awesome new projects! From some of the most influential rock bands in the world to one of the world’s most iconic boybands, we’ve got all the info you need! There are some incredibly special releases coming that we’re so excited to share with you.

The Cranberries

The Cranberries are one of those rare bands that the entire world knows and loves deeply. Their music has transcended generations and touched millions around the globe. The band is now releasing a collection of their greatest hits including two songs that haven’t been made available on any other albums, so it’s a real treat for all of us fans.

The record is the band’s first release since 2019 when they released their last studio album following the tragic and untimely passing of lead singer Dolores O’Riordan to whom the album was dedicated. Though she may not be among us any longer, this is a beautiful tribute to the vast amounts of light and positivity she brought to the world through her vocals that still radiates and touches people to this day.

We feel so grateful to have been able to listen to the album ahead of its release. Getting to relive their incredible body of work reminded us just how special this band is. These icons have delivered hit after hit and some of the most iconic songs of our times. From touching the world with the protest song ‘Zombie,’ to the intoxicatingly hopeful sound of ‘Dreams’ and ‘Linger,’ the band’s catalog has been incredibly influential both in their home of Ireland and around the world.

Stars (The Best Of 1992-2002) will be released on the 27th of May and we are so looking forward to you all being able to relive all these classics as well as enjoying the two songs not available on any other albums! ‘New New York’ and ‘Stars’ are both special tracks that pinpoint very specific moods and times in the world. It really was such a pleasure to listen to this album and we know that you’re going to absolutely love it. You can preorder Stars (The Best Of 1992-2002) here!

Brian May

The legendary Queen guitarist has just dropped the music video for his Buddy Holly tribute cover ‘Maybe Baby.’ The video features tons of seriously impressive fan art of Brian and there are so many talented fans out there. Our jaws were dropping at how good they all were! You can check out the video here:

And in just a few more days we’ll have Another World: The Bri-Art Collection. The collection is a re-release of Brian‘s 1998 album Another World which features fan art from across the world and over 300 different pieces. We love that Brian is encouraging and appreciating the creativity and artistry of his fans and celebrating it with this new release.

To make the release even better, all proceeds are being donated to Brian’s charity the Save Me Trust. Brian has become increasingly involved in environmental activism and his charity contributes to the protection of wildlife, and their habitats and helps to tackle climate change. Some of these projects include renovating woodlands to restore them to their former glory, protecting various species, and ensuring habitat destruction is stopped. So we can buy an album of classic hits from the legendary Brian May and directly contribute to helping to save the environment? We are so sold. Give us all the copies. Preorder yours now!

Hanson

The iconic band Hanson have released the third single from their upcoming album RED GREEN BLUE and it is an ‘MMMBop’ (You know we had to.) ‘Don’t Let Me Down’ is a fun, rocky track encouraging its listeners to seize the moment. Zac wrote it as a message to himself when he started writing his first solo project. And Zac, you have not let us down one single bit, we love it and you’ve done yourself proud. The song features Zach Myers of Shinedown and if you watch the video there’s a cheeky cameo from the band’s longtime friend and icon Frankie Muniz. So fun!

The release of RED GREEN BLUE marks a huge milestone with the band’s 30th anniversary. Artists still making songs this good, 30 years into their career shows just how talented they are. Their longevity as a band is iconic. We also absolutely love the unique approach they’ve taken with this album. Each brother has written and produced a third of the album. Taylor’s section is RED, Isaac is GREEN, and Zac is BLUE. This gives each of them the opportunity to show off their own styles and songwriting while still sharing the platform and still doing their brotherly thing. We love to see it! And hear it!

The album comes out on May 20th and we can’t wait to hear the brother’s latest offering. These singles have got us incredibly hyped and we mighttt have hopped on the pre-order train. We just couldn’t help ourselves. If your fingers slip too, we promise we won’t tell!
