THIS MONTH’S NEWS
Whole the jolly season is finally upon us we still want to share some exciting news that November brought to us with you! First of all, when it comes to tours our boys SEVENTEEN wrapped up their RIGHT HERE Tour and we already miss them. The boys played 10 sold-out shows across five cities and brought a ‘Aju Nice’ show to all the US carats. Another tour that wrapped up successfully was NCT Dream’s Europe tour with THE DREAM SHOW 3 : DREAM( )SCAPE. The boys captivated hearts left and right with their vocals and amazing music. We already miss seeing them on stage.
Now, we have some even more exciting news for you. Blackpink’s LISA finally gave us a release date for her highly anticipated solo album Alter Ego. The LP drops on February 28th 2025, yes we know it’s so close yet so far but make sure you pre-order/pre-save the album here. We, honestly, can’t wait to find out what this amazing album will sound like. If Lisa’s recent singles are any indicators of this album’s success then we know we have nothing to worry about Alter Ego, it’s gonna be a good one.
ODD YOUTH
We’re kicking off our November K-Pop hotspot with a brand-new girl group! ODD YOUTH just made their debut with the single album Best Friendz! The two tracks’ Best Friendz’ and ‘THAT’S ME’ are the perfect introduction to these five girls. The music video for ‘Best Friendz’ is so cute and silly, while ‘THAT’S ME’ gives off a confident and relaxed vibe. ODD YOUTH look like they’re having so much fun filming either way.

It’s Kep1er‘s first comeback as a seven-member group and their biggest chart success yet! TIPI-TAP, with its gloriously fun title track of the same name, hit 147th on the Billboard 200, Kep1er’s first time on the chart! We’re always so proud of our girls, but this era is just hitting different. The music video for’ TIPI-TAP’ is as galactic and refreshing as we’ve come to expect from Kep1er, and the choreography is just as addictive. Kep1er, we’ve got a crush on you, and “The code is L-O-V-E.”

BABYMONSTER
BABYMONSTER is truly making 2024 their year with their first full-length album, DRIP! The ‘DRIP’ title track is a danceable and empowering party anthem. And they ate up the music video, too. Their B-sides are all so high quality, and these girls have definitely impressed us with this album. We’re especially obsessed with the love songs like ‘Love, Maybe,’ ‘Really Like You,’ and ‘Love In My Heart.’

SHINEE MINHO
Can you believe we’re finally here, living in a world where Minho‘s first full album exists?! We’ve literally dreamed of this moment, and somehow, he exceeded our expectations! CALL BACK’s concept is about having the freedom to express your emotions, which is spot on for an idol who has been in the industry for sixteen years but is only releasing his first solo album now. CALL BACK is just so Minho-coded, with smooth, soft vocals and plenty of hip-hop and R&B influences.

SUPER JUNIOR YESUNG
If it’s a Super Junior member, you know we’ll be right here covering it. YESUNG has always drawn our attention with his distinctive voice and impressive talent. EPEX
EPEX continues to make us emotional with their movie-like sound. We feel like we’re listening to the kind of music used during those epic movie moments, and we’re stunned. ‘UNIVERSE’ gives us just that feeling, and you bet we have been obsessed with it. And when we’re that amazed by the title track, of course, we’d also be looking into the B-sides. You already know we loved the pre-release ‘My Girl.’ If we had to pick another favorite (while challenging), we’d go with ‘Attosecond’ and ‘Loner.’

NCT DOYOUNG
Doyoung is back with his new song, ‘The Story!’ Honestly, he’s been feeding us so well this year. In this song, he sings about how we have a unique story to tell, so we must keep going and not give up. Everything good or bad that comes from our story is ultimately a part of us. You’ll never catch us skipping a Doyoung solo song because his voice is soothing and genuinely makes us feel like the world is in our hands.

HEIZE
We hope that Heize knows how much we love her because her ninth mini-album, FALLIN’, is a masterpiece from start to finish. The title track, ‘FALLIN’,’ is a soft and beautiful song about what it’s like to fall in love and break up as we grow older. It’s so fitting for Heize to release this EP in the fall because it’s the perfect vibe for the season. Our favorite B-sides are ‘Broken diary,’ ‘Dot,’ and ‘Without you.’ FALLIN’ is a THP-certified, no-skips mini-album, and you’re missing out if you don’t take a listen.

VIVIZ
One of this month’s K-Pop comeback highlights is VIVIZ‘s fifth mini-album, VOYAGE! We speak facts only. The title track, ‘Shhh!,’ is a bangin’ song about talking less and being about that action. Mothers slayed the choreography as per usual. And we love seeing their TikTok dance challenges to this song! We didn’t skip through a single track on this EP. If we had to pick our favorite B-sides without listing all of them, they’d be ‘Cliché’ and ‘Full Moon.’

Lovelyz hit their 10th year since their debut this November, and we were not left without a couple of gifts. From a whole concert that reunited the girls (and got us emotional), we also got a special track to further celebrate this milestone. ‘November’ has the most fitting title and even more fitting atmosphere. We returned to the original sound that Lovelyz first came to us with, so our emotions were all over the place. Hearing something new from the girls made our month complete and our hearts full of joy.

OMEGA X
OMEGA X is back at it, this time with a Japanese release. The group opted for a ballad with the title’ Power of Love’, and while different from their more powerful Korean releases, it sits just right with us and the colder season. We are seated and swaying to the sounds of the members’ lovely vocals. In addition to the main star of the album To., we can’t stop jamming to ‘TOXIC’ and ‘Cool My Head.’ Overall, OMEGA X knows how to feed us well in one album. To. covers plenty of musical styles: you will, without a doubt, find something that fits your preference.

What would you say? Taeyeon gave us the perfect example through her music, making us fall into deep thoughts. Yep, we’re reminiscing about how we were as kids and teenagers, how we have changed through the years, and how we got to where we are. The line “I’m done being used” hits particularly hard.
