THIS MONTH’S NEWS
Before we get into our October K-Pop comebacks, we’ve got some exciting new K-Pop and K-Pop-adjacent releases! Riot Games’ virtual hip-hop group True Damage has come back with this year’s League of Legends World Championship Anthem: ‘Know My Name.’ Featuring i-dle’s very own Soyeon, as well as Coco Jones, Vic Mensa, and Sofia Reyes, this multilingual track is the ultimate hype song! Mark your calendars for November 14, when True Damage will perform at the Worlds 2026 Opening Ceremony in New York.
League fans will also be pleased to hear that K/DA has made a highly anticipated comeback with their FIRESTARTER EP. That’s right; we get four new songs by our beloved virtual pop girl group. Featuring Miyeon and Soyeon of i-dle, Sophie Powers, and Mimi Webb, this quartet is confident, hot (pun intended), and above all, fierce. K/DA enters a new era with this EP, and we can’t wait to see what kind of energy they’ll bring now. Catch them performing at the Worlds 2026 Opening Ceremony in New York on November 14!
Finally, TWICE has released an exclusive vinyl just in time for their 11th anniversary! The TWICE THIS IS FOR WORLD TOUR FINALE IN SEOUL – LIVE Special Vinyl captures the group’s performances at Seoul’s KSPO DOME on July 10-12 earlier this year. After a whopping 81 shows across 44 regions on their THIS IS FOR WORLD TOUR, it’s safe to say that this live album is an incredible keepsake for their most iconic era yet. You can stream it here!
KICKFLIP
Kicking off our October K-Pop Hotspot is none other than KickFlip with another bop! Guess who’s been unable to get over how addictive ‘Kick Off The Wall (Feat. iann dior)’ is? That’s right; it’s us! The title track holds our attention from start to finish, and it’s such a fun experience that we don’t think we’re going to stop listening any time soon. The group gave us a taste of the new album at the end of September when they dropped ‘Puzzle Piece,’ and of course we’ve been hyped for the rest. And the boys did not disappoint! Have you claimed your songs from KICK OFF THE WALL Pt. 1 yet?
I-DLE YUQI
YUQI has made a Chinese comeback with her second EP, 二十七 (27)! Featuring six new tracks, this mini-album is a testament to YUQI’s phenomenal talent as a songwriter and composer. Her personal touch comes out clearly in each song, especially in the title track, ‘Stay,’ and the pre-release track, ‘I Like You.’ She blesses us with music videos for both, and we’re just as obsessed with her visuals as we are with her voice.
SEVENTEEN HOSHI
SEVENTEEN‘s HOSHI proves he’s the perfect boyfriend material with his new single, ‘BOYFRIEND.’ He knew how much our playlists have been missing his sound. And if he can release this song while being enlisted in the military, then there’s no excuse for anyone not to show you that they care about your wellbeing. Clearly, if he wanted to, he would! We even get a performance film to go with the new song, and the choreography is no joke.
NCT WISH
If you need an instant mood boost, NCT WISH just dropped the perfect prescription! Their fourth mini-album, I SPY, delivers all the bright, youthful energy we love from the group, while also adding a cool, edgy twist to their sound. Honestly, we can’t stop rewatching the music video for all the bright colors, retro Y2K aesthetics, and insane center choreography shots.
MODYSSEY
Next on our October K-Pop Hotspot is MODYSSEY’s first EP, 2.Multitude: How We Bloom! And these rookies truly impressed us with their first comeback. ‘Ridin’ (CAN YOU HEAR THAT)’ is a banger worthy of being the title track. We even got a Korean and Chinese version of this song. And the high-speed, high-energy music video has such an infectious vibe that is sure to get you out of your seat. They really did their thing with this mini-album!
YUJU
Our beloved YUJU is back with her fourth mini-album, 𝚏𝚒𝚕𝚎. 07! It takes on a more moody vibe that fits October and the fall weather so well. Her vocals never fail to amaze us. They seem to take us to another dimension every time we hit play on her songs. The title track, ‘Nameless,’ has a beautiful guitar melody, courtesy of YUJU and her many talents. We loved seeing clips of her playing the guitar in the studio and absolutely serving as she does. Our favorite B-sides include the jazzy ‘What Comes After’ and the sultry R&B track, ‘Rock Bottom.’
NAM WOO HYUN
You know we’re always all over any Infinite members’ related comebacks. And October gave us the chance to swoon over Nam Woo Hyun‘s beautiful and powerful vocals. Not only did he make a solo comeback, but he dropped a whole album! While we’ve been absolutely obsessed with ‘DEVIL,’ we can’t ignore the B-sides, and you shouldn’t either! 2X8 is a gift to us and a way to celebrate Woohyun, who this year marked 10 years since his solo debut. There’s plenty of gems to enjoy on his album, and here are just a couple of our recommendations if you don’t know where to start: ‘Love Me,’ ‘Boys And Girls (feat. INFINITE),’ and ‘Click Click Boom!’
TEEN TOP
Every time TEEN TOP makes a comeback, we know we’re going to love it (and lose our minds). And to top that expectation, they always make sure to greet us with their distinct sound, which we love so much. We feel like we don’t have enough words to express just how overjoyed we are over the DON’T STOP comeback. From the perfect, powerful title track anthem that simply screams TEEN TOP to the lovely B-sides, our year has been made. In their own lyrics: “We don’t stop, we own this show!”
HEARTS2HEARTS
Hearts2Hearts had such a busy October! First, they released the Korean version of their Japanese debut single, ‘Iconic Heart.’ It’s a certified bop in both languages. Then they unlocked a new level with ‘Next Chapter!’ The girls celebrated the 10th anniversary of Arena of Valor with this new single. It has an addictive chorus, as well as a super dreamy music video.
TRIPLES
Moving along our October K-Pop Hotspot, we have tripleS’ new single, ‘Andless!’ The girls switch gears with this banger. Every time we’re in the car and this song comes on, we feel like we’re on a race track. ‘Andless’ features a bold new concept for tripleS, and we aren’t mad at it one bit. They’re about to go on their North American tour. We already can’t wait to witness this performance live!
MAX CHANGMIN
We may be in the fifth generation of K-Pop, but TVXQ’s Max Changmin has stood the test of time! This K-Pop veteran proves it with his third mini-album, All of My Life. The title track of the same name is an inspiring song about taking every day as they come and making the most of your life. His showstopping vocals and high notes are truly on another level, and we can’t stop listening. The range of genres on this EP needs to be studied, but our favorite tracks would have to be ‘The Low’ and ‘99 (Boiling Point).’
EVNNE
EVNNE is absolutely killing it this year! They’ve just released their sixth mini-album (and their first as a quintet), on: our noise. EVNNE are going against the grain and building their own world with this comeback, and we live for this new era! All five members co-wrote the anthemic title track, ‘LOOK AT MA.’ It’s daring, rebellious, and oh so flawless! We can’t help but scream along. The members also have writing credits on every song in this EP, which is so lovely to see.
CATCH THE YOUNG
One of our favorite K-Bands is back! Catch The Young has just released their new single, ‘PARANOIA,’ ahead of their UK and Europe tour next month. This hard rock track is a certified banger in our book. With fearless lyrics about stepping into a new world and going beyond paranoia, Catch The Young continues to inspire us. We love whenever we can tell that a band truly enjoys and has fun with the songs they sing, and the ‘PARANOIA’ music video shows us just that.
ONEW
ONEW has been keeping us in a state of sweet illusion, and we are not complaining one bit! His first single album, Illusion, shows a whole new side of his artistry that we didn’t know we needed. We love his classic ballads, but seeing him step onto the dance floor for the title track, ‘착각 (Illusion),’ had us completely swooning. His vocals slide onto the hypnotic beat so effortlessly. The B-sides are just as incredible, especially ‘Tic Tac Toe’ featuring ZICO and the emotional duet ‘Mind Games’ with YUJU. ONEW proves once again that his voice can conquer any genre!
WOODZ
Who said WOODZ new music? It may have been one song, but we’re as euphoric as ever to have something new from our favorite soloist to add to our playlists. As always when he drops a release, we’ve been enjoying ‘Come into my world!’ to the fullest! WOODZ just knows how to make music that tickles us just the right way! Add in a humorous music video, and you have all you need to have a good time with this single!
LNGSHOT
LNGSHOT has dropped a new pre-release song from their upcoming third EP, S.W.I.S.H. And ‘Masterpiece’ is exactly as the title indicates: it’s a masterpiece. This groovy R&B track only proves the quartet’s versatility in sound and songwriting. The verses are fire, and the chorus has quickly gotten stuck in our heads from the first listen. Their vocals slide onto the beat so smoothly. We’re beyond obsessed.
ALPHA DRIVE ONE
The K-Pop boy groups didn’t come to mess around this month! Fall is the perfect time to slow things down. And ALPHA DRIVE ONE does exactly that in their new digital single, ‘Talk to me.’ The R&B sound suits this group so well. From the instrumental to the music video visuals, ALPHA DRIVE ONE gives off a yearning vibe that we’ve been missing in our playlists. And we’ve been replaying this track nonstop since it was released.
OMEGA X JEHYUN
After a jam packed U.S. tour last month, OMEGA X’s Jehyun has blessed us with a new single album: ironic. Featuring two new tracks, ironic is exactly what we needed this October. ‘Love and Hate’ highlights Jehyun’s beautiful vocals with a chill instrumental. ‘Natural’ continues this trend with a killer bass sound. You’ll be bobbing your head along with these songs before you know it!
I-DLE MINNIE
The i-dle members have been killing it this month! MINNIE has just released a solo EP called i love you to the moon and back. And yes, it’s just as romantic as it sounds. The title track, ‘to the moon :),’ is a gentle love song that stole our hearts from the first listen. Not only that, but all three tracks on this EP are in Thai. Hearing her sing her native language is so special, and we’ve fallen in love with her even more because of it.
BABYMONSTER
What can we say? BABYMONSTER has done it again! Their new digital single, ‘DESERVE,’ shows another side to the girls that demands to be heard. The girls sing about not settling for less in love. This message addresses a former love, wishing them happiness with someone that can love them the way they want to be loved. But we like to think that the song’s context can be up for interpretation: a message aimed toward a close friend, family member, or even themselves that they deserve better. Either way, it tugs at our heartstrings.
IVE
If ‘Looks Can Kill,’ then consider our time of death right after watching IVE’s new music video. Their visuals are no joke, and this club banger is more than enough evidence. IVE’s confidence is everything. With that kind of energy, ‘Looks Can Kill’ deserves a spot in your morning motivation AND girls’ night out playlists. Don’t sleep on their B-sides either! Some of our favorites include ‘Mirror Mirror’ and ‘Girls Girls Girls.’
RIIZE
Next, we have RIIZE’s new single ‘insomnia’ on our October K-Pop Hotspot! One of the things we love most about this track is the acoustic pop instrumental. It’s a switch up from RIIZE’s usual high-energy sound, but we appreciate seeing the group’s softer side. They sing about those sleepless nights where your thoughts and memories get more and more vivid. Their harmonies ate, and the music video felt like a movie.
WAYV XIAOJUN
It’s about time WayV‘s XIAOJUN got a solo comeback! His first mini-album, Hey, Somebody, is a breath of fresh air in our October K-Pop Hotspot. His main character energy shines through in the ‘Hey, Somebody’ music video. We had on a permanent smile watching him dance through the streets. And we’re being fed with a Chinese and English version of the title track, as well as a wide range of high-quality B-sides that perfectly spotlight XIAOJUN’s vocal talent.
YVES
If there’s one thing Yves is going to do, it’s slay a concept from top to bottom. She has just released her new double singles, ‘Hysteric’ and ‘Adam,’ from her upcoming fifth EP, CUTE & ANXIETY. ‘Hysteric’ is a seductive and haunting deep-house track about losing control and going crazy because of that one person. And we must say, the dark, nightmarish music video came just in time for Halloween. ‘Adam’ plays into the dance club feel, with contrasting lyrics about a breakup that capture the mixed emotions when it comes to thinking about your ex.
XLOV
XLOV continues to blow us away with each new comeback. They keep raising the bar on performance quality, styling, and vocals. And their third mini-album, i=!, is no exception. ‘Hush’ is a hypnotic title track that incorporates traditional instruments and impeccable choreography, with a solo moment for Rui’s traditional Chinese dance. We were definitely mesmerized watching the ‘Hush’ music video.
JISOO
Closing out our October K-Pop Hotspot in the most fashionable way possible is JISOO’s new single, ‘ADDICTED!’ Building on last month’s single, ‘CLICK,’ this track is about an attraction that you can never get enough of. JISOO sings about the pull, the euphoria, and the thrill of the connection. It deserves to be played in every dance club and at every fashion runway, if you ask us! But for now, we’ll be blasting it everywhere we go for the foreseeable future.
