In a list of THP’s favorite things, K-Pop dance practices and Halloween would be near the top. So what happens when the two are combined? Well, you’ve got yourself an absolute treat, no tricks! It’s pretty much tradition at this point for idol groups to gift their fans with a fun version of a dance practice during promotions, especially in spooky season, and we are not complaining about it!
The dance practices we’ve collected for this list will definitely make you crack a smile, but you might find some costume inspo from your faves too! From the gorgeous wardrobes of TXT and Stray Kids to the hilarious costumes of ITZY and BTS, this list has it all.
NCT 127 ‘Favorite’
Whether you love Spider-Man, boxers, or vampires, this dance practice should be your ‘Favorite!’ NCT 127 really gave us everything! What better way to start this list than with the K-Pop dance practice that will give you all your costume inspo this Halloween?
One of K-Pop’s most popular girl groups dressed as characters from one of Korea’s most popular shows? It just makes sense. ‘Savage’ is already one of our favorite aespa choreos, and this version really takes it to the ‘Next Level!’ (Sorry.)
Ok, so maybe this one isn’t technically a Halloween dance practice, but it’s literally called ‘Monster,’ so what did you expect from us? ‘Monster’ is one of EXO’s most iconic songs and most iconic choreographies, so who can blame us if we added it to this list just because we wanna watch it on repeat?
Stray Kids ‘Thunderous’
The Twihard to K-pop stan pipeline is thriving here! Stray Kids always bring the energy to their choreography, and this dance practice is no exception. Their sense of humor shines through in this video as they “bite” each other throughout the routine. We’re about to start an official petition for these outfits to make a comeback.
EVERGLOW ‘LA DI DA’
It might’ve been a while since we got a comeback from K-Pop girl group EVERGLOW, but at least we have this dance practice to tide us over! Halloween costumes don’t really get more classic than Lara Croft. Plus, with how Harley-Quinn-mania took over K-Pop at one point, it’s a surprise we made it this far into our list without seeing that costume pop up!
BLACKPINK ‘How You Like That’
Our girls BLACKPINK always kill it in the style department, but this is something else…or something Elsa (sorry again). Jisoo and Rosé look perfect as our favorite magical sisters, and Lisa makes for an adorable Olaf. Although we don’t remember Abu from Aladdin making a cameo in Frozen before?
Whilst we love some of the hilarious fancy-dress costumes on this list, we adore TXT’s styling in this video. ‘0x1=LOVESONG’ is one of their most iconic songs, and this practice is no different – what’s not to love about Mint Hyuka, Beomgyu’s extensions, and Beret Yeonjun?
‘GOGO’ is easily one of the funniest videos on this list, not least because of the behind-the-scenes video where Bangtan play Rock Paper Scissors to decide who will dress as Snow White. Style King Taehyung somehow manages to make dancing with an apple look cool, and we crack up laughing every time someone loses a giant shoe.
ATEEZ ‘Deja Vu’
‘Deja Vu’ is arguably one of ATEEZ’s sexiest choreographies, and it’s pretty much universally agreed that vampires are sexy too. So the combination of the two? Lethal. The styling in this video is literally perfect, and we couldn’t be more obsessed with Yeosang’s cape.
Ok, can we be real for a second and admit that this video genuinely scared us a little bit the first time we watched it? One of the very best things about K-Pop girl group Dreamcatcher is that they always commit to a concept, and you can totally see that in this zombie-fied ‘BOCA’ dance practice.
All of ITZY’s costumes in this video are hilarious, but we have to give a special round of applause to Lia’s strawberry fit! The only thing that could be more iconic than the ‘WANNABE’ choreo, is the ‘WANNABE’ choreo in that giant costume where she can hardly move!
So we’re all in agreement that idols basically own Halloween, right? Which is your favorite K-Pop dance practice? Let us know all your thoughts in the comments below, on Twitter @thehoneypop, and talk to us on Facebook and Instagram!
